This side table was in my daughters room when she was a little girl.
With a dark stain and new pull, it will look more grown up.
I'll post the "after" photo tomorrow.

I am still in the process of staging the house that will be going on the
market soon. All the rooms are put together and now I need to work
on the cabinets and closets, to remove excess clutter and organize so that
the potential buyer can see that the storage space is ample. Everything
needs to come up off the floor in the storage areas and many items will
be finding their way to new homes. The hangers in the closets need to match
and face the same way. Clothes will be organized by color and only kitchen items
will be in the kitchen. There is an assortment of paper work and tools in the
pantry, they will be placed in the desk and utility room, respectively.

This master bedroom needed to be staged before the house went on the market.
Here are the ecclectic items that were already here:
Two twin bed mattresses
One basic metal twin bed frame
One wooden twin bed with headboard and footboard.
Two chrome lamps from Pottery Barn Teen( from seasons past)
A little red side table with a cottage look
One twin down comforter
Two large canvases
Looking at the items, modern was the common denominator. The wooden twin bed was very cute but, it was not going to fit in this room so, it was moved to the attic.
I bought one more basic metal twin bed frame to match what we already had.
Placing these two frames side by side, with the mattresses on them, we had the
beginnings of a king bed. For the headboard, I covered the two canvases with
chocolate brown silk (purchased from the remnant table at the local fabric store).
The twin comforter was turned sideways on the bed and it looks great! There
was enough of the brown silk to make a cover for the red table. The lamps go
on either side of the bed and we have a great look for showing this house without
spending much money.

Walking from East Hampton to Amagansett, we passed this windmill.
It was only a two mile walk and very shady and it was such a wonderful
way to see the towns. There was quite a bit of traffic during the Labor
Day Weekend, we were happy to be on foot instead of in a car.

I'm in East Hampton for Labor Day weekend! It is so beautiful here, All of the picket fences and
cupolas and weathervanes and white houses! The temperature is in the 70s, my favorite.
Today we walked all over town and then down the road to Amagansett. On the way, we visited
an outdoor antique sale and a garage sale and some nurseries. Tomorrow, we're going to the
beach, can't wait.

Here is another canvas which hangs in the home of a friend of mine.
This one is painted a light grey, which looks so great with her
furnishings. I always use the no VOC paint from Green Living in
Dallas, green-living.com. They have lovely colors and they can
match just about anything.

Happy September!

The canvases in the dining room were purchased at Aaron Frames during their one cent sale(buy one and the second is one cent).
I made a template of this traditional molding shape and taped it to the
canvas before it was painted ( 3 coats!) with interior latex eggshell enamel.
For these two, I used the same color as the wall. Great look!
