I found this brass chandelier at ReStore, the Habitat for Humanity
resale store. It has a simple, classic shape and the price was right!
A little paint, some light sanding to distress, new bulbs and it is set!
I love what it does for
this dining room!

I love to take something abandoned or neglected and reveal the inherent beauty within. To re-purpose things, to see objects in a fresh new way is so exciting to me. For several years, I did that with houses. I would buy a house and take out the carpet to expose the hardwood floors and paint and clean and take away things that were broken. After a while, I discovered that I didn’t have to do a whole house to experience the excitement of renovation. I could find a table left on the side of the road and refinish it, a lamp thrown out for the trash collector that just needed a shade, or make a headboard from some fabric and artist canvases. Sometimes, treasure can be found in our own homes, something we are not using that could be used in another way.

Welcome to my blog, I hope you are inspired by it!
